Felt Easter Eggs
I cringe when I think of the amount of chocolate my little guy consumed last Easter. The Grandparents love to give him candy...and then leave us to deal with the sugar highs ; ) Now I am not going to deprive him of his Easter chocolates, but I wanted to think of a non-candy treat to include in the Big Egg Hunt. He loves little matchbox cars but they don't fit in the plastic eggs I have...so I came up with these felt egg pouches.
They are so easy to make! I just cut egg shapes out of felt and then sewed on ribbon and felt embellishments. I stitched 2 felt pieces together leaving an opening at the top and added velcro to close them. The possibilities are endless...you could even skip the sewing and use hot glue / fabric glue!
An easy alternative to candy that can be made in any size!

What a great idea, I bet Semay would even love to sew these!
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean about getting too much candy from the grandparents! Lotte won't be getting any candy from the Easter Bunny at our house this year! We had a talk and her eggs and basket will be filled with goldfish type bunnies from Annies, fruit snacks and little toys. Love the little felt egg pouch idea!
ReplyDeletethis is great! Very crafty of you. Cheers
